2024 finished sympathetic conservation including respray, retaining as much originality as possible.
Even the windscreen is original, with “Triplex Laminated” sticker intact, as well as a road tax sticker from 1976!
Letter from first owner’s daughter where she confirms her father bought the Range Rover new in 1973. He appreciated the car’s power and reliability, as well as off-road capability.
Towing capability was useful when he transported building materials and house moving loads.
The car was also used in his work for the town of Mikkeli.
Many repairs and most services were performed by himself.
Most longer drives were made to the family summer cottage not far away, and the car never ventured further than 300 kms from home, thus the low mileage. Always stored in dry heated garage.
Current mileage reads under 37000 kms, although the owner took excellent care of the car he didn’t fix the speedometer stopped working over 20 years ago. Now rectified, the problem was not in the speedo or the cable but a small toothed gear inside the transfer box, a part that was not easy to find.
The owner had a valid driver’s license until 90 years of age, but stopped driving in the age of 85 in 2017.
Every yearly technical control made until then, all the ones on file since 2001 are without any remarks of faults.
Considering Mr Seppänen retired from his work in the early 90’s, the discussions with his daughter and the local MOT officials, as well as the car’s condition -we are confident to claim the total mileage is under 80000 kms.

The Suffix B and C series of production was produced in much lower numbers and shorter period of time than the first Suffix A series.

2024 valmistunut konservointi sisälsi ylimaalauksen, mutta alkuperäisyyttä säilytettiin niin paljon kuin mahdollista.
Jopa tuulilasi on alkuperäinen; “Triplex Laminated” ja autoverotarra vuodelta 1976!
Kirje ensimmäisen omistajan tyttäreltä jossa hän vahvistaa isänsä – herra Seppänen- ostaneen auton vuonna 1973, arvostaen sen tehoa, luotettavuutta ja maasto-ominaisuuksia.
Auto oli hänen käytössään myös Mikkelin Kaupungin huoltotehtävissä.
Useimmat huollot ja korjaukset hän teki itse.
Auto ei koskaan käynyt yli 300 km kauempana Mikkelistä ja sitä säilytettiin aina kuivassa lämpimässä tallissa.
Mittarilukema on 37000, matkamittari pysähtyi n 20 vuotta sitten ja nyt korjattu.
Omistajalla oli ajokortti voimassa 90-vuotiaaksi asti mutta hän lopetti ajamisen 85-vuotiaana 2017.
Katsastusraportit vuodesta 2001, ei huomautuksia.
Historian ja lausunnot (tytär ja katsastajat) tietäen voidaan melkoisella varmuudella sanoa että oikea kilometrilukema on alle 80000.
Omistaja jäi eläkkeelle jo 90-luvun alussa.
