Carfax report from Sweden where she was imported from Germany in 1999 with 65000 kms at the time.
Imported to the Åland Islands (Finland) in 2019 by a Miata enthusiast.
Two owners since 1999. Never driven in winter and not much in rain either.
MSW OZ Jupiter wheels, which were available as an option.
Handling kit: lowered and adjustable shocks and springs by Tein of Japan.
Hardtop, soft top cover and original shocks and springs included, as well as original gear knob.
Period correct Nardi/Personal steering wheel.
Modern Kenwood head unit with Iphone/Android USB and bluetooth connection.
The Miata has a special place in my heart and if I’d start a collection of cars this would be the starting point. Never mind the hairdresser or sexual preference jokes, your ego can surely take it, if not you can add a bumper sticker “my other car is a HumVee”?
As a young export manager of a Finnish natural stone company I attended a couple of trade fairs in the US in the early 1990’s.
Combining a holiday in Florida with one of these trips I rented a Miata from Hertz, where the car had just become part of the fleet.
Forgot to wear a baseball cap and really burnt my head skin driving to Key West and back to Miami.
The skin peeling out of my hair didn’t help to remove the permanent Joker grin caused by the driving experience.
Next year in Los Angeles they gave me one with automatic gearbox, which I didn’t know even existed and it killed most of the fun…
“The fact is that if you want a sports car, the MX-5 is perfect. Nothing on the road will give you better value. Nothing will give you so much fun. The only reason I’m giving it five stars is because I can’t give it fourteen”
