One of only 683 Karmann-built 911T coup├ęs produced in the last year of the short (2,211mm) wheelbase chassis. Matching numbers. Extract from Porsche factory archives confirm the delivery on 2nd April 1968 in Helsinki, colour 6809 Tangerine (Blutorange) and interior leatherette Black. Finnish historic vehicle certificate and registration.

Very well documented ownership history, as well as successful ice racing history. Comprehensive documentation includes a recent letter from the dealer who sold the car new in 1968 – and who also happened to be the racing driver during the 1969 season – eight races in total and 3rd overall. Ice racing was a very popular motor sport in the 60’s and the start for many famous racing drivers. Many upgrades were originally fitted by the importer (Wihuri/AAW Racing), including suspension components from the S model and 5.5″ Fuchs wheels. In the pictures the car is still missing the wheel centre caps but they have since been installed.

Subject of sympathetic restoration finished in 2014, and preserving as much originality as possible, in fact quite a lot of it. Full mechanical restoration but completely original unrestored interior. The remarkably well preserved body needed relatively little work, partly because of the inner wing mud guards fitted by the Finnish importer from new. Lokari inner wing/fender guards are a Finnish invention patented in 1963 and standard fitment in many new cars.
